From April 11th to 13th, 2025, the World Stamp Show 2025 took place in Tokyo, Japan.
Romfilatelia was represented with a commercial stand by its traditional partner, Japan Philatelic Co., Ltd. Agency Department.
During the three days, the event was attended by over 12,600 visitors, 1,300 more than in the previous year, and Romanian stamps, requested especially for philatelic passports promoting the exhibition, sold out on the second day of the event, demonstrating the appreciation enjoyed by the postage stamps issued by Romfilatelia.
On this special event, three occasional stamps were created for Romania, and the themes most appreciated by visitors were: ‘Ceramics’, ‘Peleș National Museum. Stained Glass’, ‘Romania at the European Football Championship in Germany’ and ‘The Morning Star of Romanian Poetry, Mihai Eminescu’.
The presence of Romanian stamp at this prestigious event in Japan demonstrates Romania’s strengthened position on the world philatelic map, opening up new opportunities for collaboration and promotion of Romanian stamp around the world.
