In order to honour the 75th anniversary of the State of Israel, Romfilatelia, in collaboration with the Embassy of the State of Israel in Bucharest, has issued a special philatelic product with images of the symbols of the two states, Romania and Israel, the representation of the Romanian Patriarchate at the Holy Places in Jerusalem and the exterior architecture of the Choral Temple in Bucharest.
On this occasion, philatelic panels dedicated to common themes were exhibited in the foyer of the Romanian Opera House in Bucharest, illustrating the cooperation and friendship between the two countries.
The event was particularly marked by the presence of H.E. Amir Ohana, President of the Knesset, Marcel Ciolacu, President of the Chamber of Deputies, Reuven Azar, Ambassador of the State of Israel, Silviu Vexler, President of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Romania, His Eminence Rafael Shaffer, Rabbi of the Rabbinical Chancellery of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Romania, members of the Romanian Parliament and Government, members of the cultural environment, friends of the Jewish people.
On this occasion, Romfilatelia highlighted that Romania and Israel continued the tradition of 75 years of uninterrupted diplomatic relations through the postage stamp, a true symbol and messenger of friendship and cooperation between the two peoples.
