Romfilatelia participated today in the Ceremony dedicated to International Holocaust Remembrance Day, hosted by the Coral Temple in Bucharest. The solemn event also marked the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz extermination camp.
Through their speeches, the officials present paid a solemn tribute, honouring the memory of those who sacrificed their lives in the Holocaust – the 6 million Jews. Additionally, they took on the sacred duty of keeping the memory of the Holocaust victims alive and the responsibility to act for tolerance, rights and freedoms, democracy, and the fight against antisemitism and xenophobia.
Romfilatelia, in its mission to promote universal values, has long championed Jewish spiritual values and paid tribute to the victims of the Holocaust through postage stamp issues and philatelic products, with the promise to continue standing by all significant moments of the Jewish community.
